Marietta Medialdea, my history

Updated: Feb 11, 2022

We would like to inform you all that Marietta got her visa approval for her child, and she is living with him in Miami, FL.

“I claimed my son in March of 2016,” said Marietta Medialdea.

Marietta came to the U.S. in 2014 seeking liberty and never imagined the clearly outlined legal process would still be dragging on. My son was only 13 years old when I first claimed him. Now, he is about to turn 18.

“Right on the edge of them taking him to do his year of service in the Cuban Military,”. Conscription for the military is mandatory in Cuba, something that keeps me up at night. “I am asking Biden to restart consular services in Cuba. I’ve done everything the way that they asked us to,”

“He’s a minor so I would have to go with him,” “This means two plane tickets, two mouths to feed, two everything.”

I whimpered in the arms of a friend while explaining my situation.

“The years have gone by us,” and I'm still crying every night.
